GMC's ONE Youth

ONE YOUTH

OneYouth is GMC’s youth ministry, made up of the Junior Youths (aged 13-16) and the Youth Fellowship (aged 17 onwards). We have aligned our vision with the Church's emphasis on Discipleship.  

We meet weekly on Sundays 9am for LIVE! Youth Service, and at various times for CGs. Every alternate year, the youths come together for a Youth Camp, and through the study of the word, games, worship and fellowship, bonds are built and strengthened. OneYouth also participates in external activities such as CAC Captain’s Ball Competition with the other CAC Churches. We fellowship through sports with other Churches and pre-believing friends. Till today, we play Ultimate Frisbee weekly at the West Coast Park.

Milestones

• Since the 1990s, the youth ministry has been running with the vision of ‘making disciples who will make disciples’
• Youth Fellowship transited from meeting on Saturday evenings to Sunday mornings. Eventually, the ‘fellowship’ and ‘Sunday School’ model gave way to a ‘Youth Service’ and ‘CG’ model, and OneYouth has since seen younger youths emerging to lead and serve their generation
• OneYouth continues to work alongside other Ministries in their events such as the King David Musical in 2005, as well as maintaining their regular services, CGs and other activities.

LIVE! Youth Service continues to be the platform for corporate worship as a fellowship of young people and the CGs will continue to be the community for young people to go through life together, spurring, sharpening and encouraging one another towards practical discipleship, to Love God, Love People and Change the World.
