Engaging People Struggling with Mental Health Issues

As volunteers, we may meet people who may be quietly struggling with challenges like depression, anxiety, or hoarding.

Sometimes, it can feel hard to know what to say or how best to journey alongside them.

Join us in Engaging People Struggling with Mental Health Issues to learn more about mental health struggles and communication tips to help you in your journey with them. Through this talk, you can expect to learn about:

  • Facts, triggers and symptoms of Depression, Anxiety and Hoarding

  • Helpful communication tips using the Trauma-Informed Approach, so conversations feel safe and supportive.

  • Discover ways to care for yourself while caring for others.

Whether you are just starting out or have been befriending for some time, this session will give you fresh insights and practical tools to engage with confidence, compassion, and hope.
